The Upstate Owl has been keeping a watchful eye on Greenville and the surrounding Upstate region since 2024. Like our namesake, we see things others might miss—especially late at night when we're making most of this up.

Our crack team of journalists includes a retired mall Santa, two former weather forecasters who were "asked to pursue other opportunities," and a golden retriever named Chester who handles our investigative pieces.

We pride ourselves on our commitment to accuracy, which is why we'd like to remind you that owls cannot actually read newspapers, Greenville does not have a secret underground taco network (that we know of), and any resemblance to actual events or persons is purely coincidental and probably hilarious.
